Confirmed by the FIA, the Academy Trophy was officially incorporated into FIA’s officially certified competition system and rebranded as the "FIA Academy Cup (China)" in June 2026!

This significant upgrade would not have been possible without the careful guidance and strong support from the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China (CAMF). Committed to promoting and popularizing youth motorsports, CAMF keeps cultivating new talent for the industry by building high-level competitive platforms and opening channels for international exchanges.

Since its inception, the Academy Trophy has served as a supporting event of the CKC, China’s top-tier karting competition. Under the standardized guidance of CAMF, it has focused on nurturing young kart drivers for three years. Centered on professionalism, safety and systematic operation, the event adheres to the philosophy of “A Cradle for Young Drivers, Chasing Dreams on the Track”. Targeting children aged 4 to 12, it sets scientifically divided age groups and builds a full-cycle development platform covering entry-level training to advanced competition. The series balances high-level competitiveness with comprehensive safety guarantees.

After three years of development, the series has established a standardized operation system, a professional coaching team and comprehensive safety guarantees. It has nurtured hundreds of young kart drivers, serving as the starting point for numerous rising motorsport talents.

Thanks to its mature event operation and premium competitive experience, it has gained growing influence in the Asia-Pacific youth motorsport sector and won wide acclaim from the industry and participating families.

This alignment with global motorsport standards represents authoritative recognition from FIA of the Academy Trophy’s professionalism and standardized operations. It also means the series will fully benchmark its circuit specifications, safety protocols and driver data management against official FIA international criteria. Meanwhile, the upgrade further opens a clear progression ladder for young Chinese drivers to compete on global circuits, marking a landmark milestone for China’s junior karting culture to integrate with the international motorsport ecosystem.
